Industry leaders endorse Gastech 2012 as global gas event arrives in London
The chief executive of BG Group, Sir Frank Chapman will be keynote speaker at Gastech, as part of a global and region-specific leadership panel discussion, encompassing the international gas community.
Taking place at the ExCel, London from 8-11 October, Gastech has also received the endorsement of industry super-majors, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, Total and ConocoPhillips who will stamp their authority on this year’s event, underlining its importance in the worldwide energy calendar.
This year’s conference hosted by BG Group celebrates its 40th year and will open with an executive leadership debate themed, ‘Have we entered the golden age for gas?’
BG chief executive Sir Frank Chapman said: “We are delighted to be hosting the 26th edition of the Gastech conference and exhibition in London 2012.
“As one of the world’s most significant gas events, we look forward to welcoming all of the industry’s key players and decision-makers for a four-day event that promises to deliver significant business opportunities and networking at the highest level.”
Independent research* shows that delegates expect to spend around 20 percent of their annual budget at Gastech and a recent survey indicated that visitors to the conference and exhibition control in excess of £8 billion in spend on products and services.
The event has already received support from a host of engineering, procurement and construction companies including; Rasgas, Chiyoda, Technip, FMC Technologies, Bechtel, CB&I, Cheniere Energy Inc and Saipem, not to mention an expected 350 exhibitors 10,000 visitors to the international exhibition and 2,000 delegates from across the gas supply chain.
